Our admissions team assess applicants’ fee status using the regulations, associated case law and guidance from the UK Council for International Student Affairs, UKCISA.
An initial assessment is made automatically based on the information provided in the application. If the initial assessment shows a change is needed to an applicants’ fee status, then we will be in touch.
If an applicant or student wishes to appeal their fee status assessment, they should write to feestatus.admissions@durham.ac.uk giving a reason why they believe their fee status is incorrect and we will advise from there.
We can’t advise on what fee status an applicant would have without a full application.

Postgraduate applicants should request fee status re-assessment through their Portals.
