Using The Portal

Login via the ‘Postgraduate Management’ tab and go to ‘My Applications.’ Click on the dropdown arrow next to the application you wish to look at and select ‘View Documents.’
If you have received an offer, you can view your offer letter by clicking on the dropdown arrow next to your application and clicking ‘View Offer’. Then click ‘Download Document’. Alternatively, any offer letters you have received will appear under the ‘Application Documents’ section of your Applicant Home Page.
If you have been made an offer with a language condition then you may be eligible for one of our pre-sessional courses. If your offer gives you the option of attending a pre-sessional then you can request a place on this course by clicking the dropdown arrow next to your application and then clicking ‘Request Pre-sessional Place’.
Login via the ‘Postgraduate Management’ tab and go to ‘My Applications.’ Click on the dropdown arrow next to the application you wish to defer and select ‘Applicant Deferral Request.’ You can also change academic year via this form. The deferral request will be considered on a case by case basis so make sure you fill in the ‘More Details’ box to explain your reasons for wanting to change programme. If you are successful your application status will be updated.
Login via the ‘Postgraduate Management’ tab and go to ‘My Applications.’ Click on the dropdown arrow next to the application you wish to change and select ‘Change of Programme Request.’ You can also change academic year and mode of study via this form. The change request will be considered on a case by case basis so make sure you fill in the ‘More Details’ box to explain your reasons for wanting to change programme. If you are successful your application status will be updated.
Unfortunately you cannot update your email address via the portal. Please contact us on study@durham.ac.uk and we will be happy to help.
We are able to consider your application without this document but please upload a scanned copy of your language test as soon as you have sat it.
If you are using a mobile device to submit your application, you may have difficulty when trying to upload a document as an attachment. If this is the case, please photograph your document and attach to your application as an image. Alternatively, please submit the documents using a desktop/laptop computer or email them to us at study@durham.ac.uk. If this is not possible, you are happy to receive your supporting documents by post using the address below. Please note that you should note send original copies of documents as we are unable to return them. Notifications are not always instant. Please wait at least 24 hours for a notification of receipt to arrive. If you do not receive a notification after 24 hours, please contact us.
Login via the 'Postgraduate Management' tab and go to 'My Applications'. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the application you wish to withdraw and select 'Withdraw Application'. A pop-up box will appear where you can select a withdrawal reason and then click 'submit' to confirm withdrawal. Please note that you can only withdraw if you have not received an offer. If you wish to decline your offer, click on 'View Offer' and select decline.
If you cannot find the answer to your query within the Frequently Asked Questions section, please select ‘Create Enquiry’ on your ‘Applicant Home Page’ and complete the enquiry form. We will then respond to your query as soon as possible.
Portal Registration Help

If you have forgotten your login details, please go to the 'Postgraduate Management' tab and click on 'Forgot Your Password?'. Enter the email address you used to register and a reset link will be sent to you. I've entered an incorrect email address, how do I update this? Unfortunately you cannot update your email address via the portal. Please contact us on study@durham.ac.uk and we will be happy to help.
