There are changes to how to write your personal statement if you are applying for 2026 entry through UCAS.

You will still need to tell us about yourself and why you are interested in the programme you have applied to; however, the statement will be broken down into three sections:

  • Why do you want to study this programme?
  • How have your qualification and studies helped you prepare for the programme?
  • What else have you done to prepare outside of education, and why are these experiences useful?
You can find further guidance and tips for writing a personal statement here.
