Yes, we do.

The MAT results are sent directly to us at Durham University securely and automatically, with encryption that prevents us from reading your MAT score without your permission.

If you want us to take your MAT score into consideration, you must provide us with your MAT registration number. This is the letter M followed by a five-digit number (e.g.M12345), which were given when your test centre registered you for the MAT. You can find this on the front of your MAT test paper.

Please complete our MAT Permission Form to send us this information.

If you receive 60% or above in the MAT you would be eligible to be considered for a reduced offer (A*AA with A*A in Maths & Further Maths in any order or A*A*B with A*A* in Maths & Further Maths).

A score between 45% and 60% is still considered a good score, but if an offer is made it wouldn’t be reduced.

If your score is lower than 45%, we’ll still consider your application. We'll look at how strong your application is compared to the competition.
