We require all students whose first language is not English to complete an English Language Proficiency test.
You can find the required levels for each programme here and accepted tests here.
Please note that we do not accept TOEIC, IELTS Indicator, Duolingo, combinations of test, nor Pre-sessional English programmes taken at other universities.
If you have studied your first degree in an UKVI English speaking country and completed your course within 2 years before the start of your programme, your English proficiency test may be waived.
Please note that for international students, Canada is not considered as English-speaking country for UKVI purposes.
In addition, some departments might accept 2+2 or 3+1 courses, but the Business School, School of Government and International Affairs and Psychology will require the whole programme to be taken in the UK (or other UKVI English speaking country).
